Westcon Equipment started life in 1982 with the aim of providing high quality equipment to the arboriculture industry. American built Rayco stump cutters and Big John tree transplanters were the first franchises and they soon became UK market leaders. Wood chippers were later added and more recently the Saelen hand fed shredders were added to cope with the ever growing landscaping material.
In 1993, Westcon expanded into the composting and wood recycling industry by taking on the JENZ shredder range. With the recycling industry booming Westcon now offer a complete range of composting equipment including shredders, Terra Select screeners, and compost turners.
Wood recycling is another important area and Westcon now offer FORUS slow speed shredders and the JENZ high speed shredders for volume reduction, chipboard production or biomass fuel. With biomass now an important fuel for the future Westcon also offer the JENZ range of PTO and self powered machine fed chippers.
Rayco Europe was set up in the late 80’s to establish a dealer network through out Europe for the Rayco range of products.
